A word about perfection…

Have you ever felt disappointed?
How about kind of crabby about how things turned out?
Ever wondered when life was going to be a bit more perfect?

What if I told you it already is.

Today I received an ezine from one of my favorite people
Andrea Lee.

And she featured some gems from one of her favorite people
Thomas Leonard
and so, thanks to Andrea
I am passing them on to you today.

May this top ten serve you.

THE ZEN OF PERFECT

1.   What is, is perfect.
And, you can perfect it.

2.  What isn’t perfect, is perfect.
Because there is something to learn.

3.  You are perfect.
Even when you are not.

4. Others are perfect.
Especially when they are not.

5.  Life is perfect.
But only when you see that it is.

6.  Weaknesses are perfect.
Their perfection is simply unrecognized.

7.  Your strengths are perfect.
So, continue to perfect them.

8.  What already is perfect is perfect.
Leave it alone.

9.  Tragedies are perfect.
We just can’t see the perfection, yet.

10.  Perfect is perfect.
Make perfect an art form.

To using everything,
Beth

The one thing you can do for your kids…

Last week I had the privilege of spending 2 days
with 2 incredible people completely committed
to having an extraordinary relationship.

Their dedication to this goal was awe-inspiring
because it is one thing to intend on having a great relationship
and quite another to take action to making that a reality.

They have one particularly important point of intersection:
a child.

I think most parents would agree that we all set out
to do more than just feed, shelter and clothe our children.

We want to breathe greatness in them.

We get involved in their lives.
We drive them places.
We read to them.
We play with them.
We sign up to be their sports coaches.
All good stuff.

But there is one thing that I think is even more important.
The relationship we have with each other - their mother and father.

As parents we are their first model of a relationship.
What that looks and feels like on a day to day basis.
How things get discussed and how fights get resolved.
If there is kindness, trust and r-e-s-p-e-c-t.

Here is your coaches invitation for this week:

Do something this week that shows your children
what an extraordinary relationship looks like in action.

Plan something, get over something, celebrate something, you choose.
Just do something.

Children are always watching.

To leading by example,
b

Have you ever over-thought anything?

Tomorrow a couple arrives from out of town to work with me.

We have set aside two whole days to take their relationship from strained and struggling to connected and healed.

I love that kind of commitment.

So mine is matching theirs and I have thought of little else over the past few days except how I will serve them while they are here.

The hotel, the food, the training room, the materials,
the processes, the breaks, the break-throughs, the pace,
the plan, the tools, the surprise aspects.

This morning however I realize I have forgotten an important component.
Really the most important one.

The spirit one.

So today instead of feeling slightly panicked at all I have to do before they arrive tomorrow
I am heading down to my office remember to invite the spiritual realm into my planning, into my prepping, and most of all, into my coaching.

I feel less pressure already…

To trusting I am but one part,

Is your relationship sustainable?

I am going to get right into the question that I normally end my ezines with:

“Is your relationship sustainable?”

I invite you to think of your current intimate relationship.
Yes, this question is for couples.

Whether your relationship is new (hot and sexy)
not-so-new (and perhaps a bit stagnant)
or on the verge of not being at all (struggling)
I ask you:

Is your relationship sustainable?

If your answer is yes, then have a great weekend. :-)

If however, your answer is no,
then you may want to keep reading.

Consider this your official invitation to spend the weekend with

not one, but two coaches:
the author of The One-Minute Goddess,
Jean-Pierre LeBlanc (thealchemynetwork.com)
and me to create an extraordinary relationship that stands the test of time.

We are joining our collective wisdom and teachings (again!) to bring you:

“The Sustainable Relationship”

A Weekend for Making Love LAST
(even if you have added kids, pets, plants or problems to the mix!)

Just take a moment and consider what it would mean if you could…

  • Truly understand and appreciate your parter (even when their being kind of human)
  • Create instant connection in simple ways that are easy and fun.
  • Have the tools to stop any argument before it ‘gets ugly’.
  • Confidently give your partner exactly what they need
  • plus know how to ask for yours.
  • Handle any old pain, wounds and hurts once and for all.
  • Take home a proven road map to get your relationship from where it is to where you want it to go (and stay there)

And, of course, live happily ever after.

You already know if this is for you.

If it is, I hope you join me and Jean-Pierre
on November 21st and 22nd, 2009
in Deep Cove, BC (Vancouver, Canada)
for an extraordinary weekend.

Your investment depends on the speed of your yes: ;-)

Early birds
(always rewarded for taking decisive action) – $857.00 – Until Nov 6

Mull it overs (available until sold out or up to event date) – $957.00 – Nov 6-Nov 21

Today I connected with my coach…

My coach and I have had a bit of a hiatus
and I realized today that it had been July since we spoke last.

Whoa.

In August I was busy playing, suntanning, cleansing and re-grouping

and then by September he had gone to Israel.

Which is why it took us two months for us to connect today.
And I have to say, it is good to be back on track.

Good because I have a new process that I am excited about.
Good because there was much serendipity in our connection.
And good because I feel so wildly, specifically and strongly supported.

Because coaching is personal.

We speak about absolutely everything.
My business. My life. My health. My struggles. My breakthroughs.

My big idea’s and what I am doing about them. My plan. My ego. My spirit.
You name it, we discuss it.

I know I have said this before but it bears repeating.

If you are serious about success, having a coach, in my humble opinion, is directly proportionate to the speed in which you get there.

Do you need a coach? Of course not.
But it helps. :-)

Because a good coach not only hears what you say and do, they also hear what you are NOT saying and doing. They provide a perspective that frankly, you cannot provide yourself.

It’s called objectivity! And accountability. And vision. And unabashed support.

So I hope if you are reading this you have an inspiring coach
or
someone in your life that sees you for who you really are

and is willing to tell you when you forget.

So to Jeffery Van Dyk,

I thank you for today and all the other days you have been holding the vision with me
and,
to you, my faithful and beautiful community of readers, I am holding the space for you
to claim all that you have intended, desired and hoped to be.
Happy (Canadian) Thanksgiving!

To your success,
Beth

it's raining men…

…hallelujah!

First a share.

When I first started coaching in 2004 I would coach anyone who would pay me.
Then I started to specialize in “briefcase goddesses” (or versions of myself!).
Then I started working also with couples who were in relationship turmoil.
And now, it’s raining men.

In the last month, four men have joined my practice
with the same ask:

“Can you teach me how to be a better man?”

I am humbled and awed by these men who have the courage to say

“I am great at business but not with women”.

It is my divine pleasure to share
the secrets of the feminine
the keys to creating connection (even during an argument!)

and
how to provide a woman her highest value (safety!).

In short, the path to being a warrior.

And so, since I am having so many conversations with men about the same things
I am inspired to create a “man club”.

A place where men can ask ANY question
and get the truth.

Because it is one thing to intellectually understand
that the feminine is unpredictable, changeable, intuitive and spontaneous
but it is quite another
to know what to do when you have a feminine fully expressing herself in your life.

And because I am a “two” (that’s enneagram talk”)
I want to help.

Here is my ask:

If you know (or are a man reading this!)

who could benefit from someone objective answering any question at all about the mysteries of the feminine,
I will spill all the beans on a special call.

Just for men.

For those interested, email me with the message

“I want the scoop”
and call details will be provided.
1 hour.
1 coach.
Any question you have about relationships with women.

Email: mindsetcoaching@gmail.com for call specifics.

To open-hearted men,

how do you get clients?

How do you get new clients?

This is the question I am often asked.
“How do you get new clients?”

My answer?
Basically 3 ways.

I intend them
I invite them or
I meet them.

I only work with 12 one-on-one clients at a any time. So if there is a space in my coaching practice, I begin with intention. Some might call this the ‘law of attraction’ strategy. I visualize my new client. I know her already.. She is a woman who aches for her life to change. She is tired of working so hard and sacrificing so much. She has old limiting beliefs that hold her back. She is seeking joy and is ready to begin her inner work so her outer life reflects this new authentic version of herself. She is ready to explode her bliss-factor in every area of her life.

So I begin to create her coaching package. I start her folder. I choose the paper I will write her welcome letter on. I buy her journal. And wait. I know she is already on her way to me. Maybe she is you. :-)

In 5 years of coaching, this is my most effective method.

My second method is to invite them. Do you ever meet someone who shares with you a problem they have and think “I could help with that” but just listen politely because you do not want to seem “salesy”? I used to do that. I was afraid of selling until I started serving. This has much better energy! When I offer to coach someone, I am completely unattached to whether or not they say yes. I just offer and trust our energetic connection. I know the people I am meant to serve. There is a ‘click’, a knowing and when I feel this, I now act on it and invite them to work with me.

My last method is to simply meet them. So many entrepreneurs never leave their home office. They check their email, Facebook or Twitter feed all day long. They answer the phone just because it rings. They look in the fridge for inspiration. They hire the best designers to build them fancy expensive websites. Yep. Former me again. So now I use my penchance for chai tea and get out of the house. It is easy to feel overwhelmed, think you are a best-kept secret or be at a loss as to where business will come from if you run it like a vampire – never letting the light of day see your face. I have met new clients at coffee shops, restaurants, movie theatres, book clubs, grand openings, running races, gyms, friends houses, on vacation, doing yoga, at kids sporting events and dog parks. Kind of like finding the love of your life – when you stop desperately looking for them, there they are. My favorite place to meet new clients is at the spa!

So that’s it.
My big three secrets to how I have built my business scheduling 8 days a month.

No fancy brochures, no google ranking, no SEO. Truth be told I even have a typo on my business card that misspells my website address (I learned of this 247 cards into the box!). Do I still give them out? Of course. I just mention the typo now. I am not saying that other more direct marketing strategies do not work, it is just not what I do.

That having all been said, I have been recently asked to create a group coaching program for women so today I am opting for method number #2. If you have been thinking about coaching with me and like the idea of a group, then considered yourself invited. :-)

If you are feeling called, send me an email and tell me a bit about yourself, your life and why this is a good time for you to be a part of an inspired group. In the meantime, I am going to start creating some new coaching packages…

To your abundance,
Beth
