Have you ever had something you have resisted?

I have.

In my case, my resistance was claiming a title.
For many years, I have introduced myself
as a life coach.
True.  Accurate.  And safe.
No risk in that label.

But the truth is I am not just
a generic life coach.
I am a relationship coach.

But I have resisted that title
because I was afraid.
Mostly, afraid I had to have
a perfect relationship
to call myself that.

But now I am over it.
I realize that it is not about having
a perfect relationship
it is about having
an authentic one.

And that I have in spades.

And so I am dedicating 2012
to sharing all I know
about relationships
and the dance between
men and women.
